The CIVIVI Cogent is a full-size EDC folder with tactical DNA and fidget friendly button lock flipper operation. A relatively thin stock paired with flat ground 14C28N offers great cutting performance for daily use with a generous handle that is comfortable and secure. This version comes with a plain edge, gray bead blasted 14C28N blade, black liners and coarse brown burlap Micarta handle scales.

Blade: Nearly full flat ground the straight clip point blade has a strong, piercing tip and good geometry for all your slicing tasks. A caged ceramic bearing pivot delivers smooth operation and fast deployment while spine jimping and the flipper tab guard provide safety in use. Bead blasted matte gray 14C28N is classy and discreet.

Handle: Black stainless steel liners support coarse burlap Micarta scales for modern performance, a solid grip and rugged visual appeal. Chamfers and traction milling give added security, while the rock solid button lock makes for fast operation and safe use with plenty of fidget factor.

Carries via a reversible stainless-steel deep carry clip.

Sandvik 14C28N: 13C26 modified with more chromium and nitrogen added for higher hardness and improved corrosion resistance. Like 13C26, 14C28N is well-balanced with good toughness, corrosion resistance and stability for a fine, razor edge. Edge retention is higher than carbon steel, with similar toughness and the benefit of being stainless.
