Andrew Demko worked hard to translate the famous Master Tanto into an everyday carry folding design, and his solution is the Oyabun. Retaining the clean lines of the original design, the Oyabun offers a modern flipper deployment, safety-backed leaf spring liner lock and compact, easy to carry design. This Limited Edition version comes with a satin finished CPM-S35VN stainless-steel Tanto blade and polished aluminum handles with black checkered G10 inlays. Individually serial numbered of 3500. Each box is personally signed by Lynn C. Thompson.

Blade: The Oyabun retains the iconic Tanto point blade with a high hollow grind for powerful slicing and a robust, flat ground tip for piercing and detail work. The blade has a stylish and sweeping design highlighted by the two-tone satin finish on the premium S35VN blade and deploys via an integral flipper tab. The blade comes etched with Lynn C. Thompson’s signature.

Handle: Durable and lightweight, two solid billets of mirror polished 6061 aluminum create the bolster, and frame, inlaid with checkered black G10 for a secure and comfortable grip. A stainless liner forms a strong leaf spring lock that is backed up by a slide safety for a lock that is extremely resistant to shock and impact while being easy to operate with one hand.

Carries via a right hand stainless steel pocket clip.

CPM-S35VN: Modified CPM-S30V designed for improved toughness (15-20%) and ease of machining and polishing. Well-balanced for daily use, S35VN has a slight decrease in edge retention and higher corrosion resistance, close to AISI 420.
