French custom knife maker Bastien Coves (Bastinelli Knives) has paired up with Fox Knives of Italy to deliver the Shadow, a burly, tactical frame lock flipper. This is an iconic ‘Bastinelli’ design with highly versatile, ergonomic handle design and a powerful, modified Wharncliffe blade. This version comes with a full Titanium handle and Elmax blade both in a black stonewash finish.

Blade: A ball bearing pivot delivers exceptionally smooth deployment of the Elmax blade via the index flipper which provides an enhanced index guard when deployed. A nearly full flat grind on this tall blade gives a good balance of strength and cutting performance with belly nearly the full length of the blade for excellent slicing. The modified Wharncliffe profile has a powerful point with gradual taper that is durable and devastating. The blade is black stonewash finished and offers excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance with enhanced toughness over M390.

Handle: Designed with tactical situations in mind the Shadow has a contoured, ergonomic handle design that facilitates security in the hand in multiple grips. A robust titanium frame lock is paired with a hardened steel lock face for smooth, solid, reliable operation. This version comes with full titanium construction for maximum durability. The handle is finished with a black stonewash to match the blade offering a discreet finish that hides wear well.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up stainless steel deep carry clip. Includes high quality leather “Fox” zipper pouch for storage and transportation.

Elmax: A cousin to Bohler’s M390, Elmax exhibits the same high-level corrosion resistance with similar wear resistance for great edge retention and enhanced toughness.
