The Fox Knives Core is a clean and utilitarian design collaboration with Danish custom knife maker Jesper Voxnaes. The Core is equipped with a wide, drop point style N690Co blade with a near full flat grind that delivers belly for skinning, a fine edge for slicing and enough point for outdoor and every day tasks. A ball bearing equipped pivot delivers fast, smooth deployment via the index flipper or the oval blade hole. The handles are a Doppler Honeycomb pattern FRN that is light weight and durable with inset steel liners for structure. The handle is ergonomically designed for comfort and security.
Blade: The sub-3″ blade is made from high quality Bohler N690Co cobalt stainless steel with a wide, drop point profile and a near full flat grind. This blade is all utility with plenty of belly and a fine cutting edge with a robust spine and tip. N690Co offers solid performance in terms of corrosion resistance, edge retention and ease of sharpening. The ball bearing pivot offers fast, smooth, one-hand deployment in any scenario. The version comes with a handsome and rugged stonewashed finish that hides wear well over time.
Handle:Vibrant Blue FRN scales are formed with a Doppler Honeycomb pattern that adds traction and offers a unique visual appeal. Contoured edges and an ergonomic design make for a very comfortable in-hand feel. The FRN scales are attached to a stainless steel liner construction with a simple liner lock mechanism for security in use and an Orange anodized aluminum backspacer rounding out the construction with a pop of color.
Carries via a reversible, tip-up only, stainless steel wire pocket clip.
N690Co: Bohler N690 is a conventionally produced stainless steel with Cobalt and Vanadium added giving it performance at or above VG-10.
