The Hinderer Half Track has evolved now featuring a G10 handle over titanium front liner. As with the original, the Half Track model is a pocket friendly EDC with Hinderer toughness through and through. Stout for its size, the compact folder is rugged and ready for use.

This version has a stonewashed, Slicer Grind, 20CV blade, OD Green G10 front scale and stonewashed Bronze titanium frame.

This next generation Halftrack comes equipped with a hardened steel lock face insert and Tri-Way pivot system detailed below.

Blade: Coming in at just over 2 3/4″ the Half Track has plenty of cutting edge for all your EDC tasks. A Slicer grind profile lives up to its name and with the high wear resistance of 20CV you’ll get a lot of mileage even against highly abrasive materials. A jimped thumb ramp and finger choil deliver optimal control while dual fullers and internal blade stops created a clean yet striking design aesthetic. The installed bearings of the Tri-Way pivot make for fast, smooth, flipper deployment and can be customized based on user preference.

Handle: A thick slab of titanium is precision machined with a smooth finish and an integral frame lock mechanism with hardened steel lock face for flawless, reliable operation. The front side offers a matching titanium liner with textured G10 scale overlay for enhanced traction in use. Open back construction offers a modular build with two titanium barrel spacers finishing out the construction. Despite the compact size the Half Track is very comfortable in a medium-sized hand.

Carries via a right-hand, tip-up titanium pocket clip.

CPM 20CV: CPM 20CV is a highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless tool steel, an analog to Bohler’s M390, and offers some of the best corrosion resistance and wear resistance in combination with a relative ease of sharpening. These properties along with a working hardness in the low 60s HRC make 20CV a prime choice among custom and production makers.

Tri-Way Pivot: The newest innovation from Rick Hinderer, the Tri-Way pivot features milled pockets in the blade and frame allowing for the use of ball bearing pivot washers (installed) or, utilizing steel spacers to fill those pockets, you can use either of the included sets of nylon or bronze washers to customize the action and operation of your knife.
