Hinderer Knives XM-24 Translucent Spanto GEN 6 Tri-Way Stonewash Black DLC 20CV

The Hinderer XM-24 is the largest knife in the series of XM knives. It was specifically designed for those with larger hands or for use when wearing gloves. Ease of opening and closing one-handed combined with a reliable lock system were also primary considerations, all met within the XM-24. This version of the knife has a Stonewashed Black DLC 20CV Spanto blade, matching titanium frame lock and Translucent Jade Green G10 handle scale.

The Gen 6 features a hardened steel lock face insert and Tri-Way Pivot system detailed below.

Blade: The blade of this knife is built from delicious, premium CPM 20CV steel in the robust Spanto profile combining the best of the Spear and Tanto. It comes with Hinderer’s Stonewashed Black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) finish that is durable, discreet and hides wear while looking great. The high saber grind delivers a perfect balance of durability and cutting performance for this hard use folder. This XM-24 has an integrated flipper tab which also acts as a guard when open. The new, innovative Tri-Way pivot system allows the user to customize the deployment operation with bearings (installed), bronze, or nylon washers.

Handle: This knife has a Translucent Jade Green G10 front scale, with a titanium liner lying beneath. The rear side is solid CNC machined, Stonewashed Black DLC titanium with hefty jimping that also forms the integral frame lock. Hinderer’s famous lock bar stabilizer or LBS is present for reliable operation. The XM-24 has open back construction with barrel spacers and will provide years of easy cleaning and maintenance.

Carries via a reversible, right hand only pocket clip. Completely customizable with accessory clips, scales and hardware.

CPM 20CV: CPM 20CV is a highly wear resistant, powder metallurgy stainless tool steel, an analog to Bohler’s M390, and offers some of the best corrosion resistance and wear resistance in combination with a relative ease of sharpening. These properties along with a working hardness in the low 60s HRC make 20CV a prime choice among custom and production makers.

Tri-Way Pivot: The newest innovation from Rick Hinderer, the Tri-Way pivot features milled pockets in the blade and frame allowing for the use of ball bearing pivot washers (installed) or, utilizing steel spacers to fill those pockets, you can use either of the included sets of nylon or bronze washers to customize the action and operation of your knife.
