MKM and the Mikita network, deliver another wonderful collaborative design with Jesper Voxnaes with the Timavo flipper. The aesthetics are inspired by the waves and forms of a flowing river while the overall design is all about function. This version comes with sandblast finished titanium handles with 3D milled texture, blue anodized accents and a stonewashed M390 blade.
Brand new, direct from MKM.
Blade:Â The utilitarian drop point blade of the Timavo is made from stonewashed finished Bohler M390 and equipped with a nearly full flat grind for excellent slicing performance. The blade rides on a ball bearing pivot for fast, smooth flipper deployment. The crowned spine adds a subtle element of style while a fully functional finger choil provides added control for fine cutting tasks.
Handle:Â A stainless steel liner is nested within the 3D contoured titanium handle scales that have been milled with a 3D wave texture and sandblast finished grooves and contours. The handles are nicely contoured for a secure and ergonomic grip with added traction from the textured sections. The construction is completed with titanium hardware including a blue anodized pivot collar and back spacer.
Carries via a right hand milled titanium pocket clip
Bohler M390: Bohler M390 (analog to CPM-20CV and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high level edge retention and corrosion resistance. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives, M390 is relatively easy to sharpen, with toughness on par with 440C/154CM.
