Designed, built, and custom finished maker Serge Panchenko, the mid-tech Bean flipper is a compact detent slip joint offering snappy deployment and sleek carry in a non-locking platform. The mid-tech version have high quality blades produced by Millit Knives. The pill shaped design of the handle offers a clean look and secure three-finger grip. This flipper version comes with an acid washed Nitro-V cleaver blade, matching titanium handles and clip, and a hole milled antique copper inlay.

Blade: The Nitro-V cleaver blade is robust and stylish with a rugged, wear hiding tumbled acid wash finish and high performance hollow grind for utility. A pronounced flipper tab allows for easy operation riding smooth on a nylon washer pivot.
Handle:Â Joined via a single barrel spacer are two slabs of chamfered titanium, both acid washed and tumbled matching the blade. The front has an antiqued copper inlay with hole milling exposing bar cutouts in the slab and the interior of the knife beyond. A sprung detent ball provides secure tension in open and closed positions for the slip joint operation. A hole on the back allows for lanyard attachment.
Carries via a right-hand titanium pocket clip.
Nitro-V Stainless Steel:Â Nitro-V is a modified AEB-L with Nitrogen and Vanadium added for enhanced performance. You get is a very fine-grained steel with excellent edge stability, allowing for a very fine, high performance slicing edge. It is easy to sharpen, with good edge retention and high toughness for a stainless steel, close to M4.
